Seasons

Seasons of The Goebel Team

What is your favorite season?  Are you Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?  Or maybe you like them all – or maybe just a few?  No matter what season is your favorite, you’ll find it here in Murphy, NC.  Which seasons have you experienced in Murphy?  Maybe you’ve never been here before.  Now is the perfect time to plan a trip or a move.  Come check us out and let us help you decide if Murphy is the right location for you.  Maybe you’re looking for an investment property.  Maybe you are looking for a second home.  Maybe you are ready to retire and Murphy has been on your radar for some time.

Now is the time to decide!

Spring is just around the corner, or so we’re told.  We’ve had some serious cold temps these last few weeks across the southeast.  This is normal for our northern neighbors but I for one, am ready for spring!  There are however, some of us (like Jane!) who love winter.  But that’s just one of the great things about this area.  Murphy, NC, Western North Carolina and Northeast Georgia are fortunate to have 4 very distinct seasons.  Click on the links below and look at some of the things Murphy, NC and the surrounding area has to offer and then stop by or call our office at: 828-361-9442 and let us help you find what you are looking for; whether it’s for retirement, part time living, investment or whatever.  We are experienced licensed Realtors who know the area and the market.  We’re here to HELP!  Just give us a call!  We can’t wait to sit down with you and help you find your new home!

In the meantime, here are some fun and interesting facts about the Top New Year’s Resolutions of 2017.

“The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion released its findings on what Americans have decided as their top resolution for the New Year.
“Being a better person” topped the list at 16 percent, knocking “weight loss” from the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2014, according to the Marist Poll.
“Exercising more” tied with “weight loss” for second place, at 10 percent, among those who are likely to make a 2017 resolution.
Rounding out the top resolutions are “spending less and saving more money,” “improving one’s health” and “eating healthier,” with each getting 7 percent of responses.”

It's an Andy Griffith Kinda Day

It’s an Andy Griffith Kinda Day!
People often compare Western North Carolina, and Murphy in particular, with the fictitious town of Mayberry and Andy Griffith.  And while Murphy may seem like nothing more than a sleepy little town in the middle of nowhere, it has an unmistakable charm and elegance that attracts many people from all over the country.  It is true that we are situated 2 hours from anywhere and some would say everywhere – that can be either a positive or negative, depending on your outlook.  For those of us that have either grown up here or have chosen to move here, we like to see that as a positive.   Let me tell you why:  For the outdoorsman, this is heaven on earth!  We have streams, creeks, rivers and lakes everywhere and hiking and fishing, kayaking and canoeing.  Whether you visit here or move here, you could enjoy all this and more.  Do you like gardening?  This is the place for you!  Rich, dark soil, perfect for your family garden.  And then you can sell your fruits and vegetables at the farmer’s markets; If that appeals to you, once again, this is the place for you!  Maybe you are looking for a quiet get-away, for either vacationing, part time living or full time living.  We have an abundance of peace and quiet here.  Just ask anyone.  Some would say it’s TOO quiet, but if that’s what you are looking for, can it ever really be TOO quiet?  No, you won’t find Andy Griffith, Aunt Bea or Opie wandering around the town square but you might meet some colorful characters just like them.  In fact, now that I think about it, Murphy does resemble Mayberry and the town Andy Griffith made popular.  We like to see that as a good thing around here.  From the mountains to the lakes, to the people that live here, Murphy and Western North Carolina is HOME – nothing more, nothing less.  But isn’t that just what you want when planning a move?  Somewhere to just call HOME!
Enjoy the scenery!
